2010 Clape Cornas. Decanted and tasted over a couple of hours. Spicy, with a mineral core of iron and iodine, leading into notes of black cherry, black currant, plum, dark chocolate, black olive and violets. Full-bodied and chewy, but not inelegant. Just now beginning to enter the drinking window and capable of many more years in the cellar.
